The Angry Women’s Choir by Meg Bignell

The title and cover of the book shouted, ‘read me’. I love books about change and hope especially if women are the protagonists. This book was written in a playful, emotional, funny and deep way. Every character was well developed and essential to the development of the story.

I was engaged by the likeable people in the book, they were honest and inspiring and facing issues common to all, and especially women. It was such a real story I wondered if it was true.

Set in Tasmania this book is a heart-warming, challenging and glorious tale of women awakening to who they are and what they want through friendship and singing in a choir.
