This year,

Set aside time to
stare out the window
and wonder why my head
is full of nothing
Open my heart to all inspiration
and wait
with widespread arms
and elbows
beginning to quiver
Cry on my bathroom floor
and notice the recurring pattern in the tile
like the recurring patterns of life
I like that it’s deep
maybe that’s a chapter
Make tea
Lots of tea
Creative tea
Maybe I just need a better teapot
Buy all the teapots
I can’t think with all these teapots
Dive into
rich experience
staggering through discomfort
because it’s all
material
