A shrill cry erupts
And a heavy beat of wings thuds through the canopy
As the sea of white within the green and grey shifts above me<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below, a deep damp richness assaults my senses
And the crisping of dry leaves echoes underfoot
Mixing with the crunch of grey stone<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ancients tower above me
Scarred by time and flame
Reaching for the sun and blue sky
Never knowing defeat<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Laughter echoes
Again, and again
As more voices join the chorus<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A sea of Fibonacci spirals
Curl in the space between sky and earth
Above the dew soaked green
Towers of their own
Swaying gently in the breeze<\/p>\n\n\n\n
